PUNT BOATS

MónNatura Delta gives you the exciting opportunity to board a “pontona”, the typical punt boat of the Ebro Delta, and navigate the shallow waters of the salt flats.

These boats use a “perxa” as their propulsion and navigation system. The perxa is a wooden pole over three metres long with a forked end at the bottom. With their strength and skill, the boatmen use the perxa to propel and manoeuvre the boat, allowing it to move forward and turn.

This activity is included in the price of all visits to the centre.
